Before you apply, check this grant is available for your club

You can apply for the Lionesses HERe to Play Fund to facilitate regular, organised, community or grassroots football. This does not include ad-hoc or unsupervised play. You may be asked to evidence this as part of your application. 

You can apply now if you're:

  • A not-for-profit football club or voluntary group*
  • A Local Authority
  • A County FA
  • A Professional Club Community Organisation
  • An educational establishment providing facilities for the community
  • A registered charity
  • A not-for-profit company
  • A community interest company (CIC) or other social enterprise
  • A company limited by guarantee

*If you’re a Football Club applying for a Football Foundation grant, you must be the Chair, Secretary or Treasurer of that Club to submit an application and co-sign the required forms. We’ll verify that you hold one of these roles, when you set up an account with us.   

You can't apply if you're:

  • An individual or sole trader
  • A national governing body
  • A commercial / for-profit entity
  • A club whose first team plays in the Premier League, Football League, National League System (Step 1–6), Women’s Football Pyramid (Tier 1–4), or Welsh Premier League, where the application is on behalf of, or solely benefits, that first team or any other team operating in the football pyramid within the club.*
  • Educational establishments providing facilities solely for their students

* Applications from the wider club (i.e. grassroots teams) may be eligible if they are evidenced to be wholly separate and are not intended to support the professional or semi professional game or team that plays in the Premier League, Football League, National League System (Step 1–6), Women’s Football Pyramid (Tier 1–4), or Welsh Premier League, for example by helping that team achieve its Stadium Accreditation requirements.
