Our impact

We want to keep moving the goalposts

Since we kicked things off  in 2000, we have been privileged  to make a truly transformative difference to grassroots football across the country. We know that through the investment of our funding partners into grassroots football we are now seeing the incredibly positive effects on physical health, mental health, participation and the overall economy. Knowing we’re playing something we’re immensely proud of. Here you will be able to see what exactly what impact our football grants have been having up and down the country.

Transforming lives one kick at a time

We’re helping improve grassroots facilities to transform lives and strengthen communities. With millions of players crossing the line every week, rain or shine, win, lose or draw, we know it has positive impacts wherever and however it is played. Check out our latest facility openings and beneficiaries of our funding from across the grassroots community.

Where our money goes

We’ve made some great progress over the past two decades, supporting thousands of grassroots projects from Cornwall to Northumberland and from Liverpool to Grimsby. There’s plenty of work left for us to do and we’re just getting warmed up!  Take a look at exactly where our funding has gone.

Economic impact

A 2019 CEBR research paper found that for every £1 we provide in grants, a total of £5.49 of output is supported in the UK economy. Our funding has also helped to create over 3000 jobs with each worker contributing an average productivity of £77,000 - over £20,000 higher than the average UK worker.
