The Premier League Stadium Fund appoints new Board members

The Premier League Stadium Fund has appointed Clare Sumner CBE and Nick Perchard to its Board. Clare and Nick will oversee the governance of the fund and ensure all investment is used to transform matchday experiences throughout both the Men's National League System and the Women’s Football Pyramid. 

Clare will become Chair of the Board, following on from Peter McCormick OBE after he stepped down this spring after dedicating 17 years to the Premier League Stadium Fund. 

Chief Policy and Social Impact Officer Clare joined the Premier League in January 2024. She works with Government and Parliament and leads on equality, diversity and inclusion, sustainability, and supporting the game. Clare also oversees the Premier League's investment into all levels of football, grassroots facilities and communities.

Nick joins as Director of the Board, following the retirement of Bill Bush CBE, who had served on the Board since 2019. As Director of Community for the Premier League, Nick is responsible for the League’s community and wider football strategy and policy, and has spent more than a decade leading their facilities work. Nick’s remit also includes working with football partners on some of the game’s key policy issues, including brain health.

Clare and Nick join Andy Ambler, Director of Professional Game Relations at The FA, took over from Mark Bullingham, CEO of The FA last year.
