The Football Foundation turns 25!

It’s our birthday! This year marks the 25th anniversary of a game-changing moment for grassroots sport - the creation of the Football Foundation by the Premier League, The FA and Government.

To mark this moment, we’re celebrating the progress we’ve made since 2000 towards our core mission - providing every community with a great place to play - as well as looking ahead to what’s next for communities up and down the country.

And we’re not finished yet. With the grassroots game continuing to grow, particularly among women and girls, there’s still lots to do, so here's to even more game-changing investment.

With the continued support of our funding partners, the Premier League, The FA and Government, the Foundation is ready to finish what we started all those years ago, building healthier lives and stronger communities up and down the country.
