So what are we doing?

Action

Football Foundation Funding

We'll be working in partnership with clubs and organisations to ensure new Football Foundation funded facilities offer the same football pathway for women and girls as their male counterparts. Not only this, we'll be working closely with County FAs to identify projects that'll have the greatest impact on women and girls participation. Facilities must also be designed in a way that supports women and girls to ensure they feel safe and more confident to step out onto the pitch.

Premier League Stadium Fund

The Football Foundation delivers the Premier League Stadium Fund through which funding is available to clubs at Tier 1 - 4 of the Women's Football Pyramid to support the improvement of their stadium facilities for players, supporters and officials. This investment helps clubs to become more financially sustainable and create better matchday experiences.

Hybrid Pitches

Working alongside The FA, the funding criteria for the Premier League Stadium Fund was amended to allow clubs that play in the Women’s Super League (WSL) and FA Women’s Championship (FAWC) to apply for up to £750,000 towards the installation of hybrid pitches to support the growth and professionalism of teams in these leagues.

Women's Infrastructure Fund

Through the Premier League Stadium Fund, clubs who play in the Women’s National League at Tiers 3 and 4 can apply for grants of up to £20,000 thanks to the Women's Infrastructure Fund. These grants are designed to promote inclusivity by enabling eligible clubs to make facility improvements specifically to create more welcoming environments for players, fans and officials at the grounds they play at.
