IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 3v3 GOALPOSTS

Football Foundation 3v3 goalpost funding is available to clubs and leagues delivering organised, affiliated 3v3 match play in line with The FA's 3v3 playing format and rules. This includes organisations participating in either a Central Venue League or a Home & Away competition.

Applications are not eligible where the goalposts will be used primarily for:

  • Training sessions
  • Tournaments or festivals
  • Other non-affiliated football activity.

Unlike other goalpost grant funding:

  • 3v3 goalpost funding can be awarded for sites with 3G pitches that have previously received Football Foundation funding.
  • 3G pitches used for 3v3 football do not need to be on the 3G Pitch Register.

Applications for 3v3 goalposts must be for 4ft x 2.5ft goalposts only; other sizes, including 5ft x 3ft, are not eligible under this programme.

What you can't get funding for

  • Goalposts which have already been purchased or ordered
  • Goalposts for the exclusive use of educational establishments for their students
  •  Goalposts for clubs that play within the National League System (Step 1 to 6), Women’s Football Pyramid (Tiers 1 – 4) or the Welsh Premier League
  • Individual Goalposts (Goalposts must be purchased in pairs)
  • Replacement Goalpost parts or nets
  • Goalposts for use on a 3G pitch that's not on the FA 3G Pitch Register
  • Replacement Goalposts for 3G pitches that have previously been funded by the Foundation
  • Replacement of Goalposts that have previously been purchased with Football Foundation funding
  • Other items such as corner flags, football kit, footballs, cones

*These do not apply to applications for 3v3 goalposts

When contacting suppliers to arrange two quotes, please make it clear that the quote is being requested as part of a Football Foundation grant application. This is important, as it enables suppliers to provide an appropriate quote that includes VAT and any other details required to meet Football Foundation requirements.

  • All goalpost claims are inclusive of VAT, regardless of the applicant’s individual VAT status.
  • Quotes must be obtained independently by the applicant. Suppliers shouldn't arrange or review second quotes.
  • Applicants may never share quotes with other suppliers. If you are asked to do this by a supplier on the approved list, you should report this to the Football Foundation.

The list of suppliers is reviewed every 12 months, and we'll only consider adding any other companies to the preferred suppliers list within this review window. To find out more about future openings for new suppliers please check the Football Foundation website and social media channels.
