Football Investment Webinar
The 'Unlocking the Power of Football Investment' webinar is an opportunity for local government leaders to learn about how they can get Football Foundation funding and support
What is it?
Investing in local football and community sports facilities helps transform lives, by getting people active and improving their mental health, by strengthening communities and empowering younger generations. And as this is investment into infrastructure, it also supports communities’ economic recovery. Over the next few years, getting more people playing football will help communities recover from the broad ranging health impacts of Covid-19 and make them more resilient.
The Football Foundation has been working with local authorities and partners across England to create Local Football Facility Plans. The Plans set out specific local needs to increase football participation and capture the wider community benefits of investing in facilities over the next decade. We’re now ready to move to the next stage of delivering these Plans with local authorities and this event marks the launch of this activity.
The 'Unlocking the Power of Football investment' webinar will help local government decision-makers understand how they can get Football Foundation funding and support to deliver their plans in ways that support their strategic priorities.
