HR and Grant Administrator

Working a split role in the HR and Grant Management teams means my day-to-day schedule is very varied! One day I’ll be organising training, assisting with the payroll and reviewing applications as part of recruitment processes, and the next I’ll be preparing grant offer letters, and organising legal documentation. Currently my long-term projects include improving our HR Information System and working to achieve the aims of the Foundation’s Diversity Action Plan, which I find very rewarding.

Framework and Procurement Manager

The Football Foundation has an Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) Framework to deliver high-quality AGPs whilst ensuring best value can be achieved through responsible procurement. As the Framework and Procurement Manager, I am responsible for the overarching management and scrutiny of the AGP Framework to ensure the requirements of the Framework are met. My role is varied, one day I may be analysing and reporting on performance data and the next carrying out a site inspection during construction to check progress, quality, and compliance. I am lucky to work alongside a variety of stakeholders, consultants, and suppliers as well as a number of departments within the Foundation. The role is extremely satisfying, particularly seeing a project through from its initial inception to reality.

Grant Manager

Working as a Grant Manager you need to be very pro-active, organised and work well within a team. One day you could be assessing a multi-million-pound strategic hub at your desk, and the next day visiting a site where you have funded a changing pavilion to support a football club.  The role of a Grant Manager focusses on two core functions within the organisation: assessing applications when submitted and providing post-award support to all our applicants through our monitoring processes. Both core functions are extremely rewarding and something I enjoy, as on one hand you are working with organisations to support them with grant funding and on the other, seeing the affect the funding and facilities have had on a local community/area.
