HR and Grant Administrator

Working a split role in the HR and Grant Management teams means my day-to-day schedule is very varied! One day I’ll be organising training, assisting with the payroll and reviewing applications as part of recruitment processes, and the next I’ll be preparing grant offer letters, and organising legal documentation. Currently my long-term projects include improving our HR Information System and working to achieve the aims of the Foundation’s Diversity Action Plan, which I find very rewarding.

Upshot Consultant

Upshot is a monitoring, evaluation and learning system developed by the Football Foundation. My job as a Consultant is to find other sport and non-sport charities and non-profit organisations who may want to licence the tool to help them measure their impact. This involves presenting to potential clients or at conferences, helping them with the onboarding process, training new users and some account management. As we work with organisations all over the UK and even abroad, we do a fair bit of travelling, which is always fun!

Grant Manager

Working as a Grant Manager you need to be very pro-active, organised and work well within a team. One day you could be assessing a multi-million-pound strategic hub at your desk, and the next day visiting a site where you have funded a changing pavilion to support a football club.  The role of a Grant Manager focusses on two core functions within the organisation: assessing applications when submitted and providing post-award support to all our applicants through our monitoring processes. Both core functions are extremely rewarding and something I enjoy, as on one hand you are working with organisations to support them with grant funding and on the other, seeing the affect the funding and facilities have had on a local community/area.
