Marketing and Communications Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing and communications professional to join a growing team, creating and implementing plans to promote the ambition and campaigns of the Football Foundation and its funding partners.

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (depending on relevant skills and experience) 

Location: Football Foundation offices - Paddington (though you will temporarily be home-based during COVID-19)

Start date: This is a new role so the sooner you can join us the better 

About the Football Foundation


Established in 2000, the Football Foundation is the largest sports charity in the UK. It is a partnership between the Premier League, The FA and the Government. Between them, our partners provide significant investment towards the development of grassroots football and multi-sport facilities across the country. The Football Foundation’s goal is to champion and support fair access to quality football for everyone, regardless of postcode, gender, race or disability, to improve lives and strengthen communities.

The role


The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing marketing and communications plans to promote the ambition, programmes and campaigns of the Football Foundation, driving reach, positive coverage and increased awareness of the investment and work of our funding partners. 

The successful applicant will be able to juggle a diverse range of projects, managing campaigns, press and media relations, public affairs and general marketing and communications as part of a small but hard-working team. 


What we're looking for?


You'll be an enthusiastic self-starter, with strong attention to detail and excellent time management. You'll also be an accomplished writer and storyteller, excellent written and verbal communicator and great project manager and leader. 

You'll have a degree qualification (or equivalent experience), preferably in Marketing, Media, Communications or Journalism and have knowledge of football and the grassroots game (although this is not essential). 

You'll be confident working with senior executives and talent, have good experience using social media as part of a marketing and communications plan and have familiarity with data and data protection principles.
