About the Football Foundation


Established in 2000, the Football Foundation is the largest sports charity in the UK. It is a partnership between the Premier League, The FA and the Government. Between them, our partners provide significant investment towards the development of grassroots football and multi-sport facilities across the country. The FF’s goal is to champion and support fair access to quality football for everyone, regardless of postcode, gender, race or disability, to improve lives and strengthen communities.

What we're looking for


We’re looking for an experienced Chief Executive/Director, with a track record of providing strong leadership and encouraging collaboration and innovation, both internally and externally, to take us through our next stage of development.

Ideally, with experience of working with Boards, you’ll be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of the Foundation, shaping organisational strategy into meaningful operational plans. You’ll need to have experience of delivering positive change and setting and achieving goals for high performance, improvement and efficiency. 

Working with the senior management team, our partners and Board, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that our investment is effectively focused and prioritised – helping us to continue to fund great projects, as we have done for the last 20 years.

As an outstanding communicator and skilled networker, we will be looking to you to influence, advise and collaborate to secure the ongoing success of the Foundation.
