Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer

£60,000 - £70,000 (dependent on skills and experience). Location: Hybrid - Football Foundation office and home-working

With £205m of government funding made available to invest in community sports facilities across England in the next three years, the Football Foundation is well-supported to continue to invest in pitches and communities across the nation. This investment will be used by the Football Foundation to target communities up and down the country who will benefit most from access to better sports facilities.

To help us with this important mission, we currently have a vacancy for a Dynamics Developer to be responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of the Football Foundation’s D365 DRM Grant Management System, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the system is enabling a smooth and efficient grant application process. You will be responsible for ensuring that the data about grantees and key contacts is accurate and that the Dynamics marketing suite is keeping the grassroots football community well informed of the activities of the organisation.

You will be the main point of contact within the organisation for any new grant schemes and will ensure that the system supports the application process, enabling an optimal user journey and providing an excellent user experience for both applicants and staff. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic D365 specialist who is looking to take a central position within a sport-focussed organisation and enjoys developing the skills within an organisation following the implementation of a new technology solution.

About the Football Foundation

We are the Football Foundation - the Premier League, the FA and government’s charity delivering upon a shared vision to help communities improve their local football facilities through our investment. We are the only example of a partnership between a national Government and a national sport coming together to support communities throughout the country.

Over the last 20 years we have been planting the seeds to grow grassroots football, transforming communities where demand is greatest, and the impact will be strongest. We have worked closely with local authorities, County FAs, and other passionate people in communities up and down the country to deliver over 17,000 sports projects worth over £1.8 billion and we’ve got big plans to revolutionise England’s grassroots facilities over the next decade.

The role

This role will develop and maintain the Football Foundation’s MS Dynamics grant management system and ensure that the data sources are maintained and updated. The post-holder will work closely with the Grant Management Team to ensure that D365 provides the business with an efficient and simple grant making solution, and that assessments are easily undertaken by internal staff ensuring a high internal satisfaction rate.

You will manage and ensure that the data that is held within D365 is accurate and up-to-date and that all data requirements from within the organization are managed via an agile and user focused implementation plan. You will also advise on the integration of power apps and power BI to ensure that the data that is held within D365 is providing the organization with accurate and informative analysis.

How we achieve our goals is equally important to us. We are striving to be an inclusive and diverse organisation which reflects the diverse communities, users and beneficiaries of our work and the outcomes we deliver. Becoming part of the Football Foundation team, will give you the chance to deliver a positive impact in every community in England; to help transform lives and communities through great places to play; and to be part of a supportive and inclusive staff team that works hard and plays fair to achieve its goals.

What are we looking for?

You don’t need to be passionate about football or have a detailed knowledge of how to improve grass pitches to apply, but it is expected that you have a genuine interest in using your skills and experience to help the Foundation achieve our charitable and strategic objectives.

You must have a Bsc/BA in Computer Science or a related subject with significant experience in the industry and be Dynamics 365 / Power Platform certified. You will have extensive knowledge of D365 marketing and Microsoft Dynamics 365 customer engagement. You will have an understanding of broader Microsoft Stack and how to leverage it to create powerful solutions (PowerApps, Power BI, Dataverse, Azure) and an excellent understanding of relevant concepts in information governance.

Most of all we want someone who reflects who we are as an organisation. We refer to our values as our four corners:

  • Fair Players – open and inclusive in our approach
  • Star Performers – trusted to deliver
  • United Team Player – collaborative and easy to work with
  • Passionate Supporters – flexible and willing
